Extract and compare is a step that despite being pretty self explanatory assumes there is a key designated and that the data extraction will work.

The "Compare" step can only be performed only after a data extra is completed successfully.

For adding a new connection just click on the green plus button next to the connection drop down menu, once the “Connection Manager” window pops up you can start configuring the connection to the server you need.

JuxtAPPose FREE can use this to test a connection but can’t save the configuration.

In case that the ODBC driver you need to use to connect to your server is not among those officially supported, JuxtAPPose is also compatible with the built-in Windows “ODBC Data Sources” (DSN).

A custom key is the column or combination of columns which attempts to distinctively identify every single row, if there is more than one row with the same key, those rows will be highlighted in gray. You can reconfigure the custom key without extracting the data again.
