JuxtAPPose is not compatible with column data types such as images, varbinary and any other kind of blob.

By using any of those unsupported data types JuxtAPPose would show a white square with a red cross to represent an empty value.

JuxtAPPose Standard can read different file types and extensions:
Excel - *.xlsx and *.xls
CSV - *.csv
Text - *.txt

Column separators for .txt files include |,#\t; (pipe, comma, sharp, tab, semicolon) and both csv and txt files assume the first row has the column names.

Differences from the FREE version:
1) Reading text files (*.txt) is a feature not available.
2) CSV files can only have commas to separate the database.
3) The maximum file size supported is 5MB (The standard version has no limit).

JuxtAPPose can connect to many different databases, out of the box is compatible with:
Microsoft SQL Server
Oracle
DB2

Another set of compatible database engines that require to download an ODBC driver are:
Amazon Redshift
MySQL
PostgreSQL
Microsoft Access

Lastly, if the DB engine you are trying to connect to is not listed in the two lists above, as long as there is an ODBC driver available and you can use it in the Windows built-in connections called “User DSN” that connection can be also share with JuxtAPPose to retrieve data from the server. Finding the matching cell in the juxtaposed data set can be a challenging manual task, but you can simply find that cell by double clicking on any cell where a difference is found, that will locate the matching cell in the other grid.

Connecting and extracting data from database servers is an exclusive feature to the "Standard" version, however, JuxtAPPose FREE can test connections (but can't save them).
